Victoria Windsor, LAPC

Victoria’s desire for individuals seeking counseling is that each person feel genuinely seen and heard. She has a passion for walking with her clients through the challenges and successes of the counseling process. She enjoys working with adults as they experience growth and healing through hard work. 

Victoria enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is an avid runner, enjoys DIY home projects, and loves finding adventure in everyday life. 

  • Educational Background

    Victoria received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mary in April 2023. She is a Licensed Associate Professional Counseling (LAPC) in the state of North Dakota.

    She has received additional training on Catholic Anthropology, a course that examines the Catholic-Christian understanding of the human person utilizing philosophy, theology, and psychology.

  • Professional Experience

    Victoria works with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, previous trauma, and severe mental illness.

    She has experience working with adults with severe mental illness in individual sessions and in groups. She has worked with adult women in a women’s minimum-security prison and adults in an Adult Psychosocial Program. She has led Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) groups that cover emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.

    Additionally, Victoria has an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a concentration in education, both of which have offered further experience working with individuals in the mental health field.

    Victoria takes a holistic approach to counseling, seeking to understand the components that make up the whole person. She utilizes a solution-focused theory, incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She also introduces components of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) into sessions. Victoria believes in the uniqueness of each individual’s experiences and hopes to offer a safe and comfortable space for individuals considering counseling.
